This valuable information serves as an electronic address and provides.. your own pinpoint location marker on the (Google) maps offered for every listing page within this directory. a pop-up (MultiMap) map showing your own precise individual location. assistance to suitably equipped vehicles (hired cars) to navigate directly to your premises. And not get lost along the way! This is a FREE additional service to subscribing vendors requiring promoted hyper-links to their web site.
	Note that you should only enter numbers into the boxes if you also check the "Are you an approved hospitality provider?" box in step 5.

	To determine the GPS coordinates at your location, we recommend you try one of these 3 methods:
	Method 1 Ensure your county has been selected in step 1 on the entry form. From the entry form page, click on the GoogleMap link to pop-up the location finder tool. A pop-up window appears and the map is centred on your chosen county. Note: The map response time is very dependant on your internet connection speed; if using a telephone modem connection, it can take several moments to appear completly. Remember that your potential customers may be using a high-speed broadband connection with an apparant instant response! Click and drag on the map surface within the window to position the map's central cross-hairs over your approximate location. Click on the [+] button to zoom in to the next level. Continue to reposition the map and zoom in until you are satisfied that your location is correctly identified. Click on the [Locale] button and the latitude and longitude coordinates (at the cross hairs) will be automatically updated on the entry form. Close the Google map window. Google Map notes: At this time (2005) the maps are still under development by Google; the maps can appear to lack detail especially in country regions. Vendors should not be discouraged by this and should still endevour to establish their GPS coordinates; these are very useful and will appear so as the maps improve in time.
	Method 2 got to www.multimap.com click on the map of Ireland at your approximate location - the map zooms in and centres at the point where you clicked. keep clicking on map using your best estimated location and the map will continue to zoom in towards it maximum resolution (1:50000) Look within the MAP INFORMATION area and make a note of the "Lat:" and "Lon:" figures in brackets. We require the decimal numbers, the 'Lon' figure is negative! The 'Lat' figure should be in the range 51 to 56, the 'Lon' around -5 to -11. Enter these noted numbers (and up to 6 decimal places) into the boxes on the form. Click on the GPS icon that appears near the top of the screen to check that the map pops up with your location encircled. (You may need to make minor adjustments to the numbers to get the circle just right.) For example, an entry for a location in Doolin, Co. Clare might appear like this: Latit.: Long.:
	Method 3 Beg, borrow or buy a hand held GPS navigation instrument and read off your location directly. You should be standing at the entrance to your premises where the main thoroughfare joins. Ask a guest if he/she has such an instrument.

The size of the image may be adjusted (reduced) to suit our size restrictions. This service is only available for paid-up/ linked listing entries.
